For producers

Converting a campaign

How to convert a campaign and charge all promised cards.

Converting a campaign is the moment you confirm your event and charge all saved cards. This is the most important action you'll take as a producer.

Requirements

Before you can convert, you need:

  1. Threshold met — your total promises must meet or exceed your threshold.
  2. Stripe connected — your Stripe account must show "Connected" status in Settings.

How to convert

  1. Go to your campaign detail page in the dashboard.
  2. Verify the promise count meets your threshold.
  3. Click Convert — charge all cards.
  4. Confirm the action when prompted.

What happens during conversion

  1. Every active promise is charged. The saved card for each promise is charged the total amount (ticket price + platform fee).
  2. Successful charges are marked as "converted." Patrons receive ticket confirmation emails.
  3. Failed charges (declined cards, expired cards) are marked as "failed." Patrons receive failure notification emails.
  4. Your payout is calculated. Total revenue minus the platform fee equals your payout amount.
  5. The campaign status changes to "converted." No more promises can be made.
  6. You receive a conversion summary email with the number of successful/failed charges, total revenue, and your payout.
Warning

Conversion cannot be undone. Once you click convert, all active cards are charged immediately. Make sure you're ready to produce the event before converting.

After conversion

  • Patrons show their ticket confirmation email at the door.
  • Your payout is sent to your connected Stripe account per Stripe's standard schedule.
  • You can view the conversion details on your campaign page.

What if some charges fail?

Failed charges don't block the conversion. The campaign still converts successfully for all patrons whose cards went through. See Failed payments for details.
