Connecting Stripe

Step-by-step guide to connecting your Stripe account for receiving payouts.

To receive payouts from your campaigns, you need to connect a Stripe account. Promise Tickets uses Stripe Connect, which lets you link your own Stripe account to the platform.

How to connect

  1. Log in to your Promise Tickets dashboard.
  2. Go to Settings from the navigation bar.
  3. Click Connect Stripe account.
  4. You'll be redirected to Stripe's onboarding form.

What Stripe will ask for

During onboarding, Stripe collects the information needed to verify your identity and enable payouts:

  • Business type — individual, sole proprietor, or company.
  • Personal information — name, date of birth, and address.
  • Bank account — where you want to receive payouts.
  • Identity verification — a government-issued ID may be required.
Info

This information goes directly to Stripe. Promise Tickets does not see or store your banking details or identity documents.

After onboarding

Once you complete the Stripe form, you'll be redirected back to Promise Tickets. Your settings page will show one of several statuses:

  • Connected — you're all set to receive payouts.
  • Pending review — Stripe is verifying your information (typically 1-2 business days).
  • Action required — Stripe needs additional information from you.
  • Incomplete — you started but didn't finish the onboarding form.

See Stripe account status for details on each status.

Do I need to connect before creating campaigns?

No. You can create and publish campaigns without a connected Stripe account. However, you must connect Stripe before you can convert a campaign and receive your payout.

Using an existing Stripe account

If you already have a Stripe account, the onboarding process will recognize it and link it to Promise Tickets. You don't need to create a new Stripe account.
